We really enjoyed the park today...and we only went because I had to have a meeting with Kim Garcia for Enrichment. I started out thinking that the reason I don't go to Play Group is because my child is not ready to play. He proved me wrong today. He LOVED the sand. I took his shoes off and he played in the sand with his toes, allowed it to filter through his fingers, and crawled all around the sand box. I only had 1 incident with him trying to eat the sand- he got down on his belly and put his face in it, much like he does in the bathtub to taste the water. He is a weird child. As you see in the video, we also tried out the slide. He really was pushing himself off.

Sooo too cute! Oh, and you should just give up on the sand eating thing. They all do it. My sister and her husband decided to try sand and find out what was so appealing about it for little kids. It's salty. That's what she said. :) Anyway, since the first time we ever took them to the beach, my boys have made sand snacking a regular occurrence. It is inevitable. My mom said the same thing of us when we lived in Israel and would vacation at the Mediterranean Sea. Good luck! :)
