Rollin' Rollin' Rollin'

Our dear little chub has decided she isn't going to face plant anymore. She is taking matters into her own hands and...rolling over. It was quite a surprise to me when it happened yesterday so I put her back on her tummy to try it again. And roll she did. I don't remember Corban doing it this young, but Malia is a little ahead of him in many ways. This girl already weights 12 and 1/2 lbs! She is in the 90th percentile for weight, 75th for head, and 50th for height. Corban still sits in the less than 3rd percentile for height and probably weight, weighing in at just over 20lbs, and 90th!!! for head. That’s some noggin he’s got!

We also rolled on up to Rancho Santa Margarita for this evening. Ellie took Corban out Trick or treating to show him the ropes. He wasn’t all that interested in going from house to house to get more treats. He only wanted the piece he had just received. He would stop on the door step and ask for us to open it. The great part about that is that you don’t have to go to that many houses. We probably only went to 8 houses and then we were done. After bath time and a little more play, we put him to bed in Jacob’s bed. All was quiet (for about 1 hour) until Jared and Roger walked in and then Corban was crying again. I gave Jared “the look” so he has gone to take care of it. What a great husband!

Baby #9

Larsen baby #9 was born yesterday at 4 pm to Michael and Linzi! Congratulations! I have word that mom did AMAZING giving birth naturally. As Miche tells the story, she handled it calmly and sweetly just like she does everything in life! Her water broke at 1 am and they went to the hospital at 5 am. Miche says she was in hard labor for about 3 hours and pushing for about 25 minutes. She is a strong woman!
Jude weighs 6 lbs 10 ounces, and is 20 inches long. He came out a little blue with the cord wrapped around his neck, but soon took a breath of fresh air and relieved his parents. We await the decision on the middle name...they know which one I am encouraging :)
I will add pictures when they send them. I can't wait to see this little Larsen!

PS- For you new friends that don't know my family, Michael is my younger brother who married the most awesome, perfect girl in the world. They are going to be such great parents!

Pictures

I hadn't really noticed that I haven't posted pictures of Malia in while. She has changed A LOT! This one is going to be our chunk! Corban didn't weigh over 10 lbs until 3 1/2 months- this girl is already weighing 12 lbs! I think the cheeks are holding all the poundage...that suckle of hers has made big muscles.
By the way, the outfit was given to her by her aunt who "couldn't resist buying it." I never had that happen with Corban, but girl clothing is so irresistable at times!
This is a rare occasion that I get to see Malia in her own bed. She sleeps so much better when she is sleeping with me. Last night, for the first time, she slept 5 hours I think. There is a possibility I don't remember waking up to feed her, but I don't think so.

Sleeping in a tent

Corban is starting to sleep in his tent. He loves it so far, and I hope it will be good for us. He sleeps in the crib during his afternoon nap. I love this kid!
