Sitting, feeding Corban

I don't know how people do, but they do. I can't work it into my schedule to write as often as I would like. When Corban is awake, he wants to be held, I want to play with him, or it is feeding time. And who wouldn't want to spend every waking moment with this boy?! When he is asleep I am hurrying to get laundry done, the house cleaned, GS work accomplished, dinner made, errands run, and so on. I am not complaining because I am loving every minute of my life at this point in time, I just wish I was also fitting in journaling.

Jared's birthday was yesterday. I did good to get him his favorite cake made, but the presents went unwrapped, and the card is still sitting upstairs in my scrapbook space, waiting to be written in. Corban was having a hard day yesterday, which in turn had me a little flustered. Needless to say, we had a great celebration just with the cake. I have included a picture of how much we ate...just yesterday! YIKES, that is no recipe for weight loss (though it was made with apple sauce instead of oil...don't tell Jared). We started a game of Scrabble that is yet to be finished.Daddy and Corban leading mommy in her solo of "Happy Birthday"This was only two people and only a few hours. No wonder we haven't lost any weight for our Biggest Loser contest. We need some outside encouragement and help.

Now Corban is asleep and I will continue to write rather than clean out the garage for the shelves that will be delivered in the next couple of days. Corban will not just sit back in his bouncer as of Tuesday. He wants to be sitting up. I had him in front of the mirror hoping this would entertain him, but it got old fast.
This was taken yesterday after we had to remove all his clothing from all the spit up. I usually don't have a problem with him staying in soaked clothes, but yesterday's was too much. He was sucking on his fingers here (practically the entire hand) and I don't know how many times he gagged himself, but he didn't seem to mind.

This is what I came home to this morning. I had to get up at 5 to be to the gym for my 5:45 class. This was the first time teaching this class and it turns out that there was no turn out. I stayed and worked out a bit, but didn't push myself as much as if I had a class following. Anyway, when I got home at 7, this was the sweet scene. Jared and fed him the 2 ounces I was able to pump before leaving this morning to pacify him temporarily, and then they were both out cold. Of course this didn't last long, but that is why we have cameras.

Well, I guess it is off to get something started for the day while Corban still sleeps.
